May be we are not good in art- mostly hate painting But do you know Art help you to makes you mentally healthier, still you are thinking how art can make you mentally healthier? but this is true and it proved by researchers. Some loves art some draw something they might be bad in art, if you are unsure as to whether you might enjoy it, still do it. Not for the possibilities of you will love it but for the possibilities of make you mentally healthier. obliviously for making you mentally healthier art is good. Now see what researcher said about art:

"It wasn't surprising because that's the core idea in art therapy: Everyone is creative and can be expressive in the visual arts when working in a supportive setting. That said,I did't expect that perhaps the effects would be stronger for those with prior experience" This was mention by Girija Kaimal, EdD to Drexel

1. Art can improve overall health and well-being, by offering a form of distraction, improving self-identity and providing a social network to those with chronic illness.

2.Music and art may have a positive effect on physiological states. Art can improve the well being of breast cancer patients. In a study, art reduced negative emotions and improved positive ones.

3. Recent study in 2016 said Reduction of Cortisol Levels and participants Following Art Making found that making art can significantly reduce stress levels, regardless of artistic talent or experience

Now see "The Experiment"

Ages between 18-59 were included as the part of Study in which there were 39 student out of which 33 women and 6 men. 8 student reported extensive experience with art making, 13 some experience and 18 students reported limited prior experience.

It was the study about an hour from which two session were held one for 15 minutes were used for consent and data collection prior and after the session and another session for 45 minutes which were used for art making.

Cortisol, it is an Biological indicator found in our saliva, it is an indicator linked to stress. If the quantity of Cortisol is high in our saliva that's means level of stress is high if it is in less quantity, stress is less. In the room where the study was running on how art make us mentally healthier, along with the 39 student there was a art therapist in the room to handle any questions. Then the sample of saliva were taken before and after to test the level of Cortisol.

After the session of art participant were than asked about their experience, One 38 year old African American woman said

"It was very relaxing. After about 5 minutes, i felt less anxious. I was able to obsess less about things that I had not done or needed to get done. Doing art allowed me to put things into perspective"

 Result of Experiment

After the session it was notice that 75% of people demontrated lower cortisol levels, it means lower stress. And it also proof of that Cortisol levels did't differ based on prior experience with art- making, media choice, race and gender. It is based on age and time of day.

Those are younger have a greater reduction in stress levels as compared to those who were old after art-making. Kaimal provide explanation for this

It might be the reason that younger people has more developmentally still figuring out ways to deal stress and challenge, but for older in age- just from having lived life and being older, they might have more strategies to people-solve and manage stress more effectively

for lowering the stress the research still work on it they continue to take more study. And Kaimal also plan to to look at the effect of the visual arts on the elderly and their caregivers.

So whilst some of us may be naturally more gifted than others, it really doesn't matter. Create art for the enjoyment and realize it's many benefits
